Neuroimaging approaches of memory consolidation processes in sleep-wake cycle

Philippe Peigneux is Chair of Clinical Neuropsychology at the Faculty of Psychological and Educational Sciences, ULB; Director of UR2NF - Neuropsychology and Functional Neuroimaging Research Unit, ULB; and Scientific Collaborator of Faculty of Sciences, Cyclotron Research Centre, University of Liège (ULg). He earned his license (1996) and presented his PhD thesis (2000) in Psychological Sciences at ULg. Prof. Peigneux main areas of research are relationships between sleep and memory consolidation processes, and more generally relationships between cognitive processes and vigilance states including sleep and biological rhythms, using cognitive and brain imaging approaches. He is a member of several neuroscience and psychological societies, and Secretary of the European Sleep Research Society (ESRS). Prof. Peigneux has widely published in national and international peer-reviewed journals.
